This bold and risk-taking group blended the FPS, Fighting Game & Third Person Action genres to deliver the first multiplayer slasher - Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.The Studio incorporated in 2010 and began building the game from the start to be “instantly fun”, these self-publishing dreamers captured an organic audience on YouTube and created enormous success.
Leading to Chivalry being the best-selling Steam game during the week of Christmas 2012 and that is when we knew we created something really great.
We were then able to open a Toronto office as the central hub of collaboration and creativity and launched the Deadliest Warrior.
In 2017, Torn Banner shipped the PC Action game, Mirage Arcane Warfare. While it was not a commercial success (in part due to market saturation of similar titles such as Overwatch), we learned a great deal about production, how to extend our core melee combat system to other genres and the importance of managing the creative vision within our team.
In 2021 we launched Chivalry 2 which sold 1M Within the first two months of launch, across PC, Xbox and PlayStation platforms and gained further success with the Steam Launch in 2022.
Today, Torn Banner is looking to expand our team while we aim to grow to the scale of our creative potential and shift to multi-project productions.
